Guitarist Troy Chapman, and his eponymous Hot Club of Troy, bring the glorious sound of the swinging ‘30s, Django Reinhardt, and hot jazz to Dancing Fish!
LeJoined by the outstanding clarinet and sax of Eric Vanderbilt-Mathews, superb vocals of Molly Felder, and unstoppable rhythm of Mickey Grimm and Keegan Harshman on drums and bass, The Hot Club of Troy promises a rousing good time.
Expect a repertoire of Django’s best melodies, hot vocal favorites, and original tunes, along with anything else that might strike our musical fancy! Dancing permitted, where allowed by law!
The Hot Club of Troy plays grooving, swing music written or inspired by Django Reinhardt (1910-1953), the earth-shatteringly brilliant, gypsy guitarist, was one of the most inventive and technically stunning guitarists of the last century, influencing almost all guitar players to follow.
